Coimbatore : While many think that creating a beautiful home and a successful business are two different sides of a coin, Vanitha Mohan, Chairperson of Pricol limited said that balancing responsibilities would come naturally to women.
Talking at the The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Women’s Summit - 2019 at Hotel Taj by Vivanta today, Vanitha Mohan said that even when many think it is difficult, different roles can be donned by women with confidence.
Vanitha Mohan was addressing young women entrepreneurs and aspirants on ‘Balancing Civic and Corporate Responsibilities’.
During her talk, she shared her story of how she was juggling between a social activist, an entrepreneur and a mother.
“I had the opportunity of gaining ample knowledge at different levels. However, it was important for me to stick to my core and stay focused,” she said.
Sharing about the financial crisis that hit the city during the serial bomb blasts, Vanitha Mohan said that their decision to stick to Coimbatore despite economical struggle had paid off well over the years.
“Do not give up your businesses just because of a few losses. Stay focused and try to identify the fundamental problem. If issues are rectified at the root, the business model would be very successful,” she opined.
Talking about Siruthuli, she said that it was outcome of giving back to nature, and not a social struggle.
